Nigerian music sensation, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has joyfully reunited with his 10-year-old daughter, Imade Adeleke, in a heartwarming reunion that has captured the hearts of fans worldwide.
The afrobeats star shared photos and videos of the special moment on his Instagram stories, captioning one of the posts, “Best day of my life”.
The reunion comes after a prolonged custody dispute between Davido and Imade’s mother, Sophia Momodu, which began in 2022.
Davido filed a lawsuit at the Lagos State High Court in April 2024, seeking joint custody of Imade, alleging that Sophia had been blocking his access to their daughter despite fulfilling his financial obligations.
In response, Sophia filed a 102-paragraph counter-affidavit, accusing Davido of abandoning his fatherly duties after their relationship ended.
The young girl was visibly excited to see her father, dancing and jumping up and down in a video shared by Davido.
The singer also had a heartwarming moment with his second daughter, Hailey Adeleke, during a FaceTime call, showcasing a tender family moment.
