“No Turning Back II” offers a fresh take on the timeless hymn “I have decided to follow Jesus,” skillfully combining elements of both traditional and modern music to produce a distinctive sound.

This accomplishment reflects a broader surge in the commercial success of gospel music across Nigeria.

Building on the widespread acclaim of Lawrence Iyor’s Favour earlier in 2025, No Turning Back II strengthens the momentum behind the genre’s revival.

The platform TikTok has been instrumental in bringing gospel music to younger listeners, increasing its prominence and appeal in the process. While the song is gathering attention by the population in the country, the song has received a backlash from some pastors condemning the style at which the song is being rendered hence corrupting the original version of the song.
