The statement, issued by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka on Tuesday, condemned the viral “Breaking News” report titled “APC Grants Automatic Tickets to All National Assembly Members”, calling it baseless and untrue.

“The attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to a purported Breaking News Report tagged ‘APC Grants Automatic Tickets to All National Assembly Members’ in viral circulation,” Morka stated. “The report is FAKE NEWS and should be disregarded in its entirety as it did not emanate from our great Party.”

The APC emphasized that no such decision has been taken by its leadership and reiterated its commitment to internal democratic processes, especially in the build-up to future elections. The party also warned against the spread of misinformation, particularly at a time when political activities are intensifying across the country.

“We urge all Party members and the general public to disregard the report as FAKE and of mischievous origin,” Morka concluded.

This latest clarification follows increasing speculation within political circles over the party’s nomination strategy for the next general elections.

Party insiders suggest that while high-performing legislators may be encouraged to seek re-election, any blanket endorsement remains against the ethos of competitive democracy the party claims to uphold.
