WAFCON 2024: Nigeria’s Eunice Yemisi makes list as CAF announces match officials

Date:

The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has announced match officials for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

A total of 46 referees, assistant referees, and video assistant referees (VAR) will be part of the competition.

It is the highest number in the history of the biennial competition.

It should be recalled that 40 officials took part in the 2022 edition of the prestigious tournament.

The WAFCON 2024 finals will be staged in Morocco from Saturday, 5 July to Saturday, 26 July, 2025.

The Super Falcons of Nigeria are among the 12 teams that will compete at the competition.

Justine Madugu’s side are drawn in Group B with Tunisia, Botswana and Algeria.
