President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has landed in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, ahead of a scheduled visit to Yelwata in Guma Local Government Area.
Touching down at the Tactical Air Command of the Nigerian Air Force Base around 12:58 p.m., the President is set to engage with key stakeholders in the state, following a series of violent incidents that have claimed lives and heightened security concerns in the region.

In recognition of the significance of the visit, the Benue State Government has declared Wednesday a public holiday.
Breakingng.com recalls that the presidency had on Monday announced that the president would postpone his scheduled visit to Kaduna for the troubled Benue State following the unrelentless killing of over 200 innocent lives in less than two weeks in the state which had the attention of international communities prominent figures in the country calling on the government to take decisive action in curbing insecurity in the state and other parts of the country.
