Makinde renames Ibadan Polytechnic after ex-gov Olunloyo

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has announced the renaming of The Polytechnic Ibadan in honour of the late former governor, Victor Omololu Olunloyo.

The governor made the announcement during a brief address at the interdenominational commendation service held in memory of Olunloyo at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium in Ibadan.

Makinde noted that the former governor, who recently passed away, was the pioneer rector of the institution.

In recognition of his contributions to education and the state, the institution will now be officially known as Omololu Olunloyo Polytechnic, Ibadan.
