Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo has officially signed with Romanian side CFR Cluj following the end of his contract with Turkish outfit Kasımpaşa.
The 31-year-old centre-back arrives on a free transfer and becomes part of the Liga I club’s summer intake as they strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.

A seasoned professional, Omeruo brings significant experience to Cluj’s defense, having earned 68 caps for Nigeria since his debut in 2013. He played an important role in the national team’s victorious campaign at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and was included in the squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Throughout his club career, Omeruo has played in various European leagues, featuring for teams in England, the Netherlands, Spain, and Turkey, amassing over 300 senior appearances.
His time at Chelsea saw him loaned out to five different clubs before he secured a permanent move to Spanish side Leganés.
The Nigerian international becomes the latest signing in Cluj’s ongoing summer rebuild and will aim to integrate quickly with his new teammates as the club ramps up its pre-season preparations.
