Liverpool Football Club has confirmed the heartbreaking death of Portuguese forward Diogo Jota, who tragically lost his life in a car accident in Spain alongside his brother, Andre.
In an official statement released on Thursday morning, the club expressed its profound grief at the sudden passing of the 28-year-old star.

“Liverpool Football Club are devastated by the tragic passing of Diogo Jota,” the statement read.
The fatal accident reportedly occurred in the early hours near Zamora in northwestern Spain.
According to Spanish authorities, the vehicle carrying the two brothers veered off the road and caught fire, resulting in their deaths.
Preliminary reports suggest a burst tyre during an overtaking maneuver may have caused the crash.Jota, who joined Liverpool from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2020, quickly became an integral part of Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
