Club World Cup: Two semi-final fixtures confirmed

Date:

The two semi-final fixtures at the 2025 Club World Cup have been confirmed.

This follows the conclusion of quarter-final matches on Saturday night.

Real Madrid were the last team to book their place in the last four, following a thrilling 3-2 victory over Borussia Dortmund.

Los Blancos scored twice in the first half through Gonzalo Garcia and Fran Garcia.

Maximilian Beier pulled one back in extra-time with a low shot past Thibaut Courtois, before Kylian Mbappe added a third for Madrid.

Dean Huijsen received a straight red card for a last-man foul and Serhou Guirassy scored the last goal of the game from the penalty spot.

The LaLiga giants will now take on Paris Saint-Germain for a place in the final.

PSG defeated Bayern Munich 2-0 earlier in the day, despite finishing the game with nine men.

Chelsea edged Palmeiras 2-1 in their quarter-final clash and will face Fluminense, who eliminated Al-Hilal from the competition.

The semi-final games will be played next Tuesday and Wednesday.
