In several parts of Lagos, including Ikotun, Igando, and Iba, officials from the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) were yet to arrive at many polling units as of Saturday morning.
A monitoring visit to these areas between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. revealed that while voters and party representatives were present and waiting, LASIEC personnel had not yet arrived to begin the electoral process, according to reports monitored.

In Mushin, on Adeo-Oyo Street, electoral officers were spotted inside a bus carrying voting materials, seemingly trying to locate their assigned polling stations. Some residents expressed surprise at the late arrival of officials, noting that such delays are uncommon during elections.
Voters who spoke on the situation said they were prepared to wait. One man at a polling station said he had been present since 8:15 a.m.
To prepare for the eventual arrival of LASIEC officials, residents had set up canopies at their polling units, showing a readiness to participate once the process began.

At the Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area Secretariat, electoral officers had already left for their respective units by the time observers arrived.
In contrast, at a polling unit in Iyana-Ejigbo, LASIEC personnel were present and had set up the polling station, awaiting the arrival of voters to cast their ballots.
Security presence across these areas appeared robust, in line with assurances previously given by Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh.
Police personnel were seen maintaining order at all the visited locations, including Isolo, Ikotun, Igando, Iba, and Isheri.
