Initially, the online recruitment portal was scheduled to open on Monday, July 14, 2025.
In a statement issued by the Secretary of the Board overseeing these services, Maj. General Abdulmalik Jibrin, it was confirmed that the suspension applies to the portal hosted at https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, which is the official platform for applying to positions within the agencies under the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).
The government emphasized that the suspension was necessary to ensure that the recruitment process is conducted in an orderly, transparent, and equitable manner.
It also expressed gratitude to Nigerian youths for their enthusiasm in seeking opportunities to serve the nation through these paramilitary institutions.
