Yahaya Bello marries fourth wife in private Abuja ceremony

Date:

The immediate past Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has taken a fourth wife, Hiqma, in a private ceremony held over the weekend in Abuja.

It was gathered that the event, which was strictly by invitation, had in attendance close friends and family members, maintaining the low-profile nature the former governor is known for when it comes to his personal life.

Confirmation of the union came via social media, where Bello’s third wife, Hafiza Yahaya Bello, welcomed Hiqma to the family in a heartfelt Instagram post.

“Our family just got a little bigger and more loving,” she wrote, offering prayers for continued peace and blessings in their home.

Yahaya Bello, who served as Kogi State governor between 2016 and 2023 under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is already married to Amina Oyiza Bello, Rashida Yahaya Bello, and Hafiza Bello.

While his political career placed him constantly in the public eye, the former governor has always kept his domestic life out of the media spotlight.

This latest marriage adds a new layer to his personal narrative post-office.

Bello is an alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where he obtained both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Business Administration.
