Security around the National Assembly Complex intensified on Tuesday amid reports that suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan planned to make an appearance at the plenary.
Personnel from various security agencies—including the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Police Force, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps—were visibly stationed at key entry points such as the main gate, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) annex, and the Villa access gates.

According to on-the-ground reports, all vehicles approaching the National Assembly were subjected to rigorous screening, with access denied to individuals unable to present valid identification.
