Court slams police with N10m fine over #EndSARS rights violation

The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has awarded N10 million in damages against the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) for breaching the fundamental rights of #EndSARS protesters during a memorial event.

Justice Musa Kakaki, delivering judgment on Thursday, ruled that the police violated the rights of participants at the #EndSARS remembrance rally held on October 20, 2024.
