Tinubu congratulates Super Falcons on WAFCON victory

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has hailed the Super Falcons of Nigeria following their sensational 3–2 comeback victory over hosts Morocco in the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) clash on Saturday.

The Super Falcons, Africa’s most decorated women’s football team, found themselves trailing 2–0 early in the game, but they roared back with characteristic resilience to overturn the deficit and secure a vital win, reaffirming their dominance on the continent.

In a jubilant reaction shared via his official channels, President Tinubu celebrated the team’s fighting spirit and lauded their unyielding commitment to national pride.

“They chose to accept this mission. They understood the assignment,” Tinubu said.

“Our Superior Super Falcons delivered in true Nigerian fashion. Never say Never. They went. They saw. They have conquered again!”

The President proudly referred to the team’s accomplishment as a completed national task, concluding with the words: “10-time champions of Africa. #MissionX: COMPLETE!”
