Police confirms death of woman in moving tricycle in Aba

The Abia State Police Command has confirmed the death of a 51-year-old woman inside a moving tricycle in Aba on Monday, July 29.

According to DSP Maureen Chinaka, the Abia State Police Public Relations Officer, the incident was reported by Okechukwu Sunday, a tricycle operator living in Aba.

Sunday, a native of Onitsha Ado in Anambra State, informed the Police Area Command in Aba that Mrs. Emmanuel Love Onuora boarded his tricycle along Aba-Owerri Road.

Chinaka stated that when another passenger flagged down the tricycle, both Sunday and the new passenger discovered that Mrs. Onuora had passed away.

Following the report, police officers from the Area Command responded to the scene. Mrs. Onuora’s body has been deposited in a mortuary for autopsy and preservation.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
