Fresh off a successful two-match friendly series against Algeria’s Green Ladies in Nigeria, the nine-time African champions, Super Falcons, are set to face France’s Senior Women National Team, Les Bleues, in a high-profile friendly on Saturday, November 30, 2024, in France.
The Super Falcons triumphed over the Green Ladies with commanding 2-0 and 4-1 victories in matches held in Ikenne-Remo and Lagos, respectively. A number of home-based players showcased their potential in the squad, which is managed by Justine Madugu.
The upcoming friendly will be held at the Stade Raymond Kopa in Angers, with kick-off scheduled for 9:30 PM local time.
For Les Bleues, the match is part of their preparations for the upcoming UEFA Nations League in the spring and the 2025 UEFA Women’s Euro Championship in Switzerland. For the Super Falcons, the friendly serves as another key step in the process of integrating new players and fine-tuning their squad ahead of the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco next summer.
This will mark just the seventh time in history that Les Bleues have played in Angers.
