President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday presided over a Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa.
The meeting was preceded by the inauguration of the newly appointed Chairman and a Commissioner for the Nigerian Law Reform Commission.
Professor Dakas C.J. Dakas and Dr. Uchenna Eugene took their oaths of office in a brief ceremony held at the Council Chambers.
Their appointments were recently confirmed by the Nigerian Senate.

During the session, the council observed a minute of silence for Chief Audu Ogbeh, a former Minister of Agriculture and one-time national Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who passed away on August 9, 2025.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, described the late Ogbeh as a patriotic Nigerian who served the country with distinction.
Disclosing the FEC meeting, Tinubu’s SSA on Social Media, Dada Olusegun wrote on X: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu presides over the Federal Executive Council meeting and the Inaguration of the Newly Appointed Chairman Prof Dakas C.J Dakas and Commissioner Dr Uchenna Eugene of the Nigerian Law Reform Commission at the Council Chambers.”
