Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has presented a N3.005 trillion budget proposal for the year 2025 to the State House of Assembly, with a clear focus on economic growth and long-term sustainability.
Named the “Budget of Sustainability,” the plan prioritizes capital projects aimed at driving the state’s development forward. The budget breakdown reveals that N1.7 trillion is earmarked for capital expenditures, while N1.2 trillion is designated for recurrent costs.

Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted the budget’s emphasis on infrastructural development, underscoring the administration’s commitment to sustainable growth.
He assured Lagos residents that the budget was designed with fiscal responsibility in mind, aiming to address vital sectors such as education, healthcare, security, and environmental sustainability.
The proposed budget now awaits further review and approval by the Lagos State House of Assembly.
