Pope urges Lebanese politicians to elect new president

Pope Francis issued a compelling call to Lebanese politicians on Sunday, urging them to swiftly elect a new president in order to restore the nation’s governance and stability. 

Speaking from Saint Peter’s Square at the conclusion of his Sunday Angelus prayer, the Pope emphasised, “I urgently invite all Lebanese leaders to elect a president without delay, so that the functioning of government can be promptly resumed.”
