President Bola Tinubu will present the 2025 national budget to a joint session of the National Assembly on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
The announcement was made by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during Thursday’s plenary. The budget presentation is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. in the House of Representatives chamber.
Akpabio noted that senators would initially convene in the Senate chamber before proceeding to the House of Representatives for the joint session.
Earlier, President Tinubu submitted the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and Fiscal Strategy Paper (FSP) for 2025–2027 to both chambers of the National Assembly, laying the groundwork for the upcoming budget presentation.
This marks Tinubu’s second budget presentation since assuming office.
