Nigerian music icon Tiwa Savage has sparked speculation about her future in the music industry after revealing that her forthcoming studio album might be her last.

Taking to Instagram on Friday night, the singer expressed feelings of exhaustion and fulfillment, hinting at a possible departure from her career in music. She wrote, “This might be my last studio album. I’m tired. I don try.”

Although she did not disclose the album’s title or release date, her announcement has left fans reflecting on her remarkable journey in the industry.

Tiwa Savage gained prominence in 2010 with her breakout hit Kele Kele Love. Over the years, she has solidified her status as one of the biggest names in Nigerian and African music, earning global recognition and numerous awards.

In 2018, she became the first female African artiste to win the Best African Act award at the MTV Europe Music Awards. The following year, she signed a groundbreaking deal with Universal Music Group.

Her discography includes her debut album Once Upon a Time (2013), R.E.D (2015), the Sugarcane EP (2017), Celia (2020), and the Water and Garri EP (2021). The latter inspired her debut film of the same name, which premiered on Prime Video in May 2023.

Tiwa’s recent singles, Forgiveness and Mega Money Mega, showcase her continued impact in the R&B and Afrobeat genres.
