FG’s youth confab to hold in Q1 2025 – Tinubu

Date:

President Bola Tinubu announced that a national youth conference, organised by the federal government, will be held in the first quarter of 2025.

He made this statement on Wednesday as part of his New Year address to the nation.

Tinubu emphasised that the conference reflects his administration’s dedication to empowering young people and recognizing their vital role in shaping the future of the country.

“The Ministry of Youth will soon announce the modalities for selecting the conference’s representatives from our diverse, youthful population,” he said.

Tinubu told governors and local council chairpersons to work with the federal government in agriculture, livestock, and tax reforms in order to move the country forward.

“I commend the governors who have embraced our Compressed Natural Gas initiative by launching CNG-propelled public transport. I also congratulate those who have adopted electric vehicles as part of our national energy mix and transition.

“The federal government will always offer necessary assistance to the states.

“To all citizens, your sacrifices have not been in vain over the past 19 months. I assure you they will not be in vain even in the months ahead. Together, let us stay the course of nation-building.”

The president said he would also unveil a National Values Charter in the first quarter of 2025 that would foster patriotism and love for the country among citizens.
