In a video shared by TVC on Wednesday, January 22, Bolaji was seen saying: “We’re here to protest against the persistent blackout in the University College Hospital, that has affected and crumbled the education of our fellow students in the University College Hospital and by extension the University of Ibadan.

“The black out has lingered for over 82 days now, and for over 2 months there’s been no light at the University College Hospital, which has affected the livelihood of our students. People cannot function normally, you understand what we need light for, especially for students who need to study and do a whole lot of things,so the lack of electricity is why we’re out here today.”

When asked if they have reached out to the school authorities before now, he said: “We have reached out to the school management severally, it’s a kind of power play between the University College management and the University of Ibadan management it’s a joint business.”
