Ladoja dismiss Akande’s claims on Bola Ige’s murder, calls them ‘false’

Date:

Former Oyo State Governor, Senator Rasheed Ladoja, has vehemently rejected claims by Chief Bisi Akande, the former National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), that he possesses vital information about the murder of Chief Bola Ige.

Ladoja described Akande’s statement as entirely false.

In a recent interview, Akande alleged that Ladoja had entered a no-case submission with the suspects accused of assassinating the former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice.

However, Ladoja quickly denied the accusation, suggesting that Akande’s memory may have been affected by old age, causing him to misremember the events surrounding the assassination.

Ladoja also expressed disbelief that Akande, who claimed to know significant details about the case but refused to share them, did not provide the public with further clarity on the circumstances of Ige’s killing on December 23, 2001.

The ex-governor made these remarks during a press interaction at his Bodija residence in Ibadan, where he further questioned the timing and credibility of Akande’s claims.
