The lifeless body of Justice Azuka, a member of the Anambra State House of Assembly, has been discovered on the Second Niger Bridge.
Azuka had been abducted and brutally attacked by gunmen on Christmas Eve while traveling home for the holiday festivities.
The kidnapping took place on Ugwunapampa Road in Onitsha, Anambra State, where Azuka was seized by armed assailants.
In a statement issued Thursday, Tochukwu Ikenga, the police spokesperson for Anambra, confirmed that the legislator’s decomposing body was located on the new bridge.
