Ribadu: Ben Bruce challenges Binance executive to Undergo lie detector test

Date:

Ben Murray-Bruce, a former Nigerian senator, has called on Tigran Gambaryan, Binance’s head of financial crime compliance, to undergo a lie detector test over bribery allegations against Nuhu Ribadu, Nigeria’s national security adviser.

Murray-Bruce, in a post shared on social media platform X on Saturday, asserted that Ribadu is “incapable” of such actions.

The allegations stem from Gambaryan’s claims that during his detention in Nigeria from February to October 2024, three Nigerian lawmakers demanded cryptocurrency bribes, allegedly amounting to $150 million.

He further accused Ribadu of seeking payouts from Binance to fund his political ambitions.

The federal government dismissed Gambaryan’s allegations as baseless. Supporting Ribadu, Murray-Bruce suggested that Gambaryan should be thankful for being allowed to leave the country, adding that Ribadu would have had him imprisoned for life if he could.

“I have known Mallam Nuhu Ribadu my entire life, and I can say with absolute certainty that he is incapable of the allegations being leveled against him,” Murray-Bruce stated.

He added that Gambaryan should begin preparing a public apology, predicting he would fail any lie detector test.
