Portable, a controversial Nigerian singer, has claimed that he’s a mad man undergoing treatment at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Aro, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
This comes after he was declared wanted by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly leading a violent attack on three government officials.
Recall that officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development were conducting an enforcement exercise when they encountered Portable’s father.
Despite his father’s initial claim that Portable was unavailable, the singer later appeared with a firearm and other weapons, leading a gang of nine thugs in a violent attack on the unarmed officials.
Taking to his Instagram page to appeal to Nigerians and the state governor, Dapo Abiodun, Portable claimed he was set up because of his support for Senator Adeola Solomon.
He equally stated that he has a card at the Aro based hospital, which certifies him as a patient, and that he’s been taking medications as part of his treatment.
It’s worth noting that Portable’s claim of being a madman has raised questions about his accountability for his actions. The Police have arrested nine accomplices, but Portable remains at large.
