Global Recognition for Olu of Warri and Olori Atuwatse III at MIPAD Influential People Awards in NYC

Their Royal Majesties, Ogiame Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri, and Her Majesty, Olori Atuwatse III, Queen Consort of Warri Kingdom, have been honored with the prestigious 2024 Most Influential 100 Hall of Fame Award in New York, USA.

The United Nations-backed Hall of Fame award recognizes their impactful social work and aligns with their initiative on the International Decade for People of African Descent. This accolade celebrates their visionary leadership and unwavering dedication to the well-being of both the Warri Kingdom and the broader African continent.

A statement released by the royalties’ media aide, Mr. Adeniyi Ifetayo, highlighted the significance of this honor, which underscores the Olu and Olori’s forward-thinking approach to governance and their efforts to champion progress for the global African community.

The statement reads, “His Majesty’s reign has been marked by purposeful leadership, a revival of cultural heritage, and a strong commitment to advancing the welfare of his people. This recognition emphasizes his vital role as a guardian of tradition while showcasing his innovative governance, reflecting the spirit of progress and unity for Africans worldwide.”

The statement further praised the royals for being acknowledged on such an esteemed international platform alongside other prominent figures of African descent, noting the profound impact their reign has had.

Your excellence continues to inspire and elevate the Warri Kingdom as you guide your people towards prosperity and global prominence. Your influence transcends borders, offering leadership, culture, and unity to all who look to Africa for guidance.”

The Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD) event was held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, celebrating a decade of influential African personalities in 2024.
