The state’s Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, announced her death in a press statement released on Friday, revealing that the First Lady passed away on September 26, 2024, in a hospital surrounded by her family.
In a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, President Tinubu conveyed the Federal Government’s deep sympathy to the Eno family, the government, and the people of Akwa Ibom. He mourned the painful loss of the First Lady, recognizing her significant support to Governor Eno’s administration.
