Tinubu Commiserates With Akwa Ibom Governor Eno Following Wife’s Demise

President Bola Tinubu has expressed his heartfelt condolences to Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State following the passing of his wife, Pastor Patience Umo Eno. The state’s Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, announced her death in a press statement released on Friday, revealing that the First Lady passed away on September 26, 2024, in a hospital surrounded by her family.

In a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, President Tinubu conveyed the Federal Government’s deep sympathy to the Eno family, the government, and the people of Akwa Ibom. He mourned the painful loss of the First Lady, recognizing her significant support to Governor Eno’s administration.

The President praised Pastor Patience Eno for her qualities of humility, resilience, and loyalty, highlighting her role as an ordained gospel minister and her dedication to public service through her “Golden Initiative for All.” Through this initiative, she positively impacted the lives of women, children, and vulnerable people in Akwa Ibom, leaving a legacy that will inspire future generations.

Tinubu acknowledged the lasting contributions of Pastor Eno to the state, noting that her selfless service will forever be remembered. He offered prayers for the comfort and strength of the grieving family, friends, and relatives, entrusting them to God’s eternal care during this difficult period.
