Mohbad: Court clears Naira Marley, Sam Larry, Primeboy as nurse faces trial

Date:

A Lagos court has cleared Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and Primeboy of any wrongdoing in the death of singer, Mohbad.

The magistrate, Ejiro Kubenji, made this ruling based on the legal advice from the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP), stating that they had no case to answer.

Mohbad, whose real name was Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27.

This led to widespread speculation and allegations against Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and others. However, the court has now acquitted them of any involvement in Mohbad’s death.

In contrast, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, the auxiliary nurse who treated Mohbad, and Ayobami Sadiq, one of Mohbad’s friends, will face prosecution for reckless and negligent acts.

They will be charged under Section 251 (e) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
