95-year-old actor Gene Hackman, wife, dog found dead at home

The renowned Oscar-winning actor, Gene Hackman, and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, were found dead at their home in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on Wednesday afternoon.

Hackman, 95, and his wife, 63, passed away along with their dog. The Santa Fe County Sheriff’s office has launched an investigation, but foul play is not suspected at this time.

Hackman had an illustrious career spanning over six decades, earning numerous accolades, including two Academy Awards, two Baftas, four Golden Globes, and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

He was known for iconic roles in films like “The French Connection,” “Unforgiven,” “Bonnie and Clyde,” and “Mississippi Burning.”

Hackman also played the role of Lex Luthor in Superman movies and won Oscars for his performances in “The French Connection” and “Unforgiven”.
