Suspected bandits posing as EFCC operatives abduct 10 from Niger hotel

A shocking incident unfolded early Tuesday morning, February 27, 2025, when a group of armed suspects, posing as operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), stormed White Hill Hotel on Shiroro Road in Chanchaga Local Government Area, Niger State. 

According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, intelligence sources revealed that the attackers arrived at the hotel around 4:58 a.m. and claimed to be conducting an official operation on behalf of the EFCC.

 They disabled the hotel’s CCTV system before systematically entering guests’ rooms, abducting 10 people and whisking them away to an undisclosed location. 

The Assistant Commissioner of Police (Acpol) for the State Intelligence Department confirmed the disturbing incident, stating that investigations are currently underway to identify the perpetrators and trace the whereabouts of the victims.  

Authorities have called on the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities as they work to uncover more details about the brazen attack.
