The materials, transported via a C-130 aircraft from Abuja, are part of the “Renewed Hope Agenda.” NAF spokesman, Air Commodore Olusola Akinboyewa, stated that the initiative underscores the NAF’s commitment to aiding civil authorities.
The supplies, including food, clothing, sanitary items, and toys for children, which were received in Maiduguri by NAF personnel, led by the Air Component Commander of Operation, Hadin Kai, were handed over to the Borno State Government for distribution.
Akinboyewa emphasised the importance of timely humanitarian assistance, especially in disaster-affected areas.
The NAF previously initiated a medical outreach program to assist flood victims and supplied food to more than 2,000 Internally Displaced Persons during the crisis.
The spokesman noted that the partnership between the First Lady’s office and the NAF “highlights the importance of a united effort to ease the suffering of those impacted by the flooding in Borno State.”
