A devastating multi-vehicle accident occurred at Cele, along the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway in Lagos, involving a container-laden truck that overturned and collided with seven other vehicles.
According to an update from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on Saturday, April 5, emergency responders are on-site, providing immediate medical assistance to those injured in the crash.
The incident has led to heavy traffic congestion, with a significant backlog stretching from Ijesha and extending further along the expressway.
Authorities are actively working to clear the wreckage and manage the flow of traffic to minimize delays and restore normalcy.

The statement reads: “A multiple accident has occurred at Cele on the Apapa-Oshodi Express, involving a container laden truck that fell on its side and seven (7) other vehicles.
“Emergency responders are on ground and en-route, and casualties are being taken care of while our Men are on ground Managing the traffic emanating from this.
“Traffic backlog is at Ijesha and spilling.”
