American singer, Lizzo, has shared her thoughts on protecting her mental health and well-being amid public scrutiny.
In a recent interview on the ‘On Purpose With Jay Shetty’ podcast, Lizzo discussed her decision to take a break from music and focus on her peace.
The singer revealed that she had to be careful about what she says and does in the public eye, especially after facing a harassment lawsuit from three former dancers in August 2023. Lizzo denied the allegations, calling them ‘false’ and ‘sensationalized’.
Lizzo emphasized the importance of taking control of her narrative and being true to herself.
“Whoever Lizzo is to the world is not really even me. I’m taking back my narrative by continuing to tell my story from me.”
The singer is gearing up to release her new album ‘Love in Real Life’, which marks her first album since 2022’s ‘Specia”. Two songs from the album, ‘Still Bad’ and the title track, have already been released.
Lizzo’s comments come as she continues to navigate the challenges of fame while prioritizing her mental health and well-being.
