‘X-Men’ star, Eric Dane, reveals nervous systems disease

Eric Dane, American actor known for his roles in ‘X-Men’ and ‘Euphoria’, has bravely shared his diagnosis with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a rare and challenging nervous system disease.

This revelation has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, highlighting the resilience and determination of the actor.

ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a degenerative condition that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, leading to loss of muscle control.

Dane told PEOPLE he feels ‘fortunate’ to still be able to work despite the diagnosis.

He thanked his family for their support during “this challenging time” and revealed he’ll be returning to set next week.

“I have been diagnosed with ALS. I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter.

“I feel fortunate that I am able to continue working and I’m looking forward to returning to set of Euphoria next week.

“I kindly ask that you give my family and I privacy during this time.”
