Date:

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has launched a comprehensive investigation following the disappearance of a black Toyota Hilux assigned to the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), headed by Nuhu Ribadu.

The vehicle was allegedly stolen on Friday while an ONSA staff member attended Juma’at prayers in Abuja.

Sources familiar with the incident reported that the vehicle was parked around 1:05 p.m. directly across from the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) complex in Area 10.

The official had left the car to join prayers at a nearby mosque, only to return and discover it missing.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama broke the news on X (formerly Twitter), stating that the theft was quickly reported to the Garki Police Division by 2:00 p.m. This prompted a rapid response from security forces.

In reaction, FCT Police launched an intensive stop-and-search operation throughout the city, stationing officers at key checkpoints along major roads in and out of Abuja.

Police officials have confirmed the incident and stated that a full investigation is underway.

Recovery efforts are ongoing, with authorities determined to locate the missing vehicle and identify those responsible.
