The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has cautioned Nigerians against buying transformers, cables, and poles, emphasising that it is the duty of the distribution companies (DisCos) to supply these items.

In a brief statement on Saturday, October 26, NERC urged consumers to report any DisCos that fail to provide cables and transformers.

The statement reads: “It is the duty of your DisCo to provide transformers, cables and poles.

“If your DisCo is asking you to provide any of these, kindly reach out to this dedicated email and phone number set-up to address these issues; Email:[email protected] Phone No.:07074865354.”
