Veteran Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, better known as 2face (2Baba), has reunited with his mother, Mrs. Rosemary Idibia, amid growing rumours about his alleged marriage to Edo State House of Assembly lawmaker, Honourable Natasha Osawaru.
Mrs. Idibia had previously drawn public attention when she made a heartfelt appeal concerning her son’s private life.
In a widely circulated video, she called on Nigerians to intervene, urging them to plead with Natasha Osawaru to “release” 2Baba from what she described as a distressing situation.

“This message is for Miss Natasha Osawaru of Edo State. I’m calling on all mothers in Nigeria to help me beg her to free my son,” she declared.
Tensions heightened when the Idibia family, through their legal representative Wilson Anuge, filed a petition with the Department of State Services (DSS), alleging that 2Baba was missing.
Dated February 7, 2025, the petition reported that the artist had not been seen since February 10, after he left his home in casual loungewear for what was assumed to be a brief outing and did not return.
However, a new video that surfaced on social media on Sunday showed 2Baba and his mother happily posing for photos, accompanied by close friends and family.
In another clip, Natasha Osawaru appeared alongside a teenage boy before 2Baba, dressed in black sportswear, joined the scene.
The singer recently acknowledged his relationship with Osawaru, who serves as the representative for Egor Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
His confirmation followed shortly after announcing his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia, with whom he shares two daughters.
In a video posted to Instagram, 2Baba openly professed his affection for Osawaru, saying, “Yes, I love her. She’s amazing, she’s cool. I want to marry her.”
He also clarified that Osawaru had no involvement in the breakdown of his marriage to Annie.On February 13, 2025, another video emerged online, capturing the moment 2Baba proposed to Osawaru in front of close friends.
Following the proposal, Osawaru updated her Instagram biography to reflect the name ‘Honourable Natasha IDIBIA,’ hinting at a possible formalization of their relationship.
