American rapper, A$AP Rocky, has been found not guilty of firing a gun at his former friend, Terell Ephron, in a 2021 incident in Hollywood.
The rapper, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, was accused of shooting at Ephron during an argument, causing minor injuries.
However, Mayers denied the charges, claiming the weapon was a prop gun and that Ephron was seeking financial gain.
The jury delivered a not-guilty verdict on two felony assault charges, which carried a maximum sentence of 24 years in prison.
An emotional Rocky hugged his family, including partner, Rihanna, and their two sons, RZA and Riot, and thanked God and the jury for the verdict.
Rihanna was present in court throughout the trial and brought their children to the verdict reading.
The couple has been together since 2020 and has two children, RZA, born in May 2022, and Riot Rose, born in August 2023.
Rocky’s acquittal comes as a relief, especially since he’s set to co-chair the 2025 Met Gala alongside other celebrities. He’s also headlining the 2025 Rolling Loud California festival with Playboi Carti.
