BBNaija season 10 premieres July 26 with N150m grand prize

Date:

MultiChoice Nigeria has officially announced that the tenth season of the popular reality TV series, Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), will debut on Friday, July 26, 2025.

This latest installment of the show will kick off with a special double-launch event slated for July 26 and 27, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting season.

At a press conference held on Wednesday, organizers disclosed that the winner of the new season will walk away with an unprecedented cash prize of ₦150 million—the highest payout since the show’s inception in 2006.

Media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu is once again returning as the host.

Speaking during the event, Ebuka highlighted the evolution of BBNaija over the years, emphasizing the show’s growing influence and achievements. “Big Brother Naija has featured 197 housemates across its nine seasons,” he stated.

He also pointed out the show’s longevity, noting that it has aired for a cumulative 709 days, and that over ₦637 million in total prizes has been distributed since the franchise began.

Reflecting on last season’s format, the 2024 edition introduced a new twist with the theme ‘No Loose Guard.’

Contestants were initially required to audition and enter the house in pairs. Later in the game, the duos were separated, and each participant had to compete individually.

The season concluded with Kellyrae emerging as the ultimate winner, earning the ₦100 million grand prize and making history as the first married contestant to claim the top spot.

For Season 10, organizers revived the physical audition process, which took place between May 16 and 18, adding a nostalgic and engaging element for fans and hopefuls alike.
