Grammy Award winner Damini Ogulu, known professionally as Burna Boy, has rewarded fellow Nigerian musician Portable with ₦20 million.
The generous donation comes after Portable defeated Speed Darlington on Saturday in a celebrity boxing match.
The Zazoo-zeh crooner in a video on Instagram confirmed receiving the substantial sum through a social media update on his Instagram account this past Saturday.

“₦20 million from Burna Boy. If you wanna be like Odogwu, can you do like Odogwu? God bless your family,” Portable wrote.
The financial gift marks a notable gesture of support from one of Nigeria’s most internationally recognized music stars to the more controversial but increasingly popular Portable.

The match, which took place on Saturday during the celebrity boxing showdown, ended in controversy after Speed Darlington claimed that he lost because Portable used charms during the fight.
Unperturbed, Portable took to his Instagram account shortly after the match in excitement posted: “Champion forever. I believe in those who believe in me. Na God dey run am. Orilomo.”
It would be recalled that in 2024, things went sour between Speed Darlington and Burna Boy. Their strained relationship escalated when Speed Darlington publicly accused Burna Boy of engaging in questionable ties with embattled American rapper Diddy to influence his Grammy success.
The situation took a legal turn shortly after, as Speed Darlington was arrested on charges related to defamation and cyberstalking aimed at Burna Boy.
