The 17th Headies Awards ceremony is upcoming, and several celebrities attended a reception for the event at the US Consul General’s residence in Ikoyi, Lagos.
Some notable attendees include: Cubana Chief Priest, Teju Babyface, Femi Adebayo, Ayo Animashaun, Do2dtun, Ill Bliss, Yaw, Peller, Farooq Oreagba, Joey Akan, Candy Bleakz, Brown Joel, Wanni and Handi from BBNaija, among several others.
Government and diplomatic representatives were not left out as Richard Mills, the US Ambassador to Nigeria, Toke Benson-Awoyinka, the Lagos State Commissioner of Tourism, Arts and Culture, were equally in attendance.
Themed ‘Back to Base, the awards ceremony is scheduled for April 27, 2025, having been rescheduled from its initial date of April 5.
The event will recognize outstanding achievements of Nigerian artistes. Some top nominees include Odumodublvck (8 nominations), Ayra Starr (6 nominations), Shallipopi (6 nominations) and Qing Madi (5 nominations).
