Veteran Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has shared fresh insight into her personal life, revealing that she has moved away from dating younger men, citing changes in her priorities and personal growth.
In a candid conversation with Ifedayo Agoro during a recent interview, Bello noted that despite regularly receiving affectionate messages from admirers of various age groups, including much younger men, her romantic focus has evolved.

She recounted a past relationship with a younger man, stating, “It was for a season, and the season is over.”
While Bello made it clear she holds no negative views toward relationships with younger partners, she emphasized that her current goals and lifestyle no longer align with that phase of her life.
The actress also discussed her openness to marriage, but stressed that her perspective on the institution is far more flexible and nuanced than traditional expectations.
She said, “Men slid into my DM, over 50 and even younger men. It’s flattering, but the thing is, some of them are badly behaved. Some will tell me ‘Hi, dear’.”
“There is no need for me to date a younger man. I have dated a younger man and don’t want to do it again. What I want now is different. When I dated a younger man, I was having fun. It was for a season, and the season is over, but there is nothing wrong with it.”
“What I want now is marriage; I don’t mind marriage. But I have a different opinion when it comes to marriage. I think a lot of people are rigid when it comes to marriage.”
Bello’s honest revelations have resonated with many, as she continues to redefine what fulfillment and companionship mean at this stage of her life.
