Davido announces new release date for album ‘5ive’

Date:

Davido’s highly anticipated fifth studio album, ‘5ive’, has a new release date – April 18. Initially scheduled for March 14, the album’s delay hasn’t been explained by the singer.

Davido shared the update on his social media pages through a pre-save link. He first announced the album in December, describing it as “my story, my truth and my growth”.

Two tracks from the album, ‘Awuke’ featuring YG Marley and ‘Funds’, were released in 2024.

Born David Adeleke, Davido has come a long way since his debut album ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ in 2012, with hit projects like ‘A Good Time’ (2019), ‘A Better Time’ (2020), and ‘Timeless’ (2023) under his belt.
