Bishop David Abioye, the presiding pastor of Living World Conquerors Global Assembly, has voiced strong disapproval of men adopting traditionally feminine styles such as wearing earrings and plaiting their hair.
In a sermon captured on video, Abioye, who left his former church, Winners Chapel presided by Bishop David Oyedepo questioned the reasoning behind such fashion choices, particularly among young men, expressing concern over the growing trend of men embracing appearances typically associated with women.

He urged men to adopt a dignified and respectable appearance, emphasizing that one’s outward presentation should reflect nobility and command admiration.
According to the cleric, “Kings are recognised for royalty, mentally and physically. Stop behaving like a street boy, including your appearance. Don’t dress carelessly. Royalty is synonymous with kingship.
“Carry yourself in a manner that when people see you in public, they see something unique about you. Even in the system of the world, you don’t see people in positions dressing anyhow.
“Putting earrings on as a man, what are you doing with it? Plaiting your hair as a man, what are you doing with it? I know, many young people won’t like what I’m saying, but I have to show it to you from scriptures and from culture. Even if you don’t know scripture, behave culturally.
“What is fitting is fitting. God created you as a man, for those of you who are men. Why would you like to be a woman when he created you like a man? Why aren’t you satisfied with the way God made you?”
Abioye’s remarks have sparked varied reactions, particularly among younger audiences who may view fashion as a form of personal expression.
Nonetheless, his message underscores a call for cultural and spiritual alignment in appearance and identity.
