Eezee Concept promised to destroy my career — Mercy Chinwo

Date:

Mercy Chinwo, a Nigerian gospel musician, has issued a statement through her legal team on the case filed against her former label head, Ezekiel ThankGod, also known as Eezee Concept.

Chinwo recalled her relationship with the music producer in a press release released on her Instagram profile, beginning as his background vocalist and progressing to his client.

The mother of one also stated that she signed her first deal in 2017, but the dates were later moved to 2019.

According to Chinwo, Eezee Concept suggested extending her initial five-year contract to twelve years. She rejected, telling him she had other plans.

Four years into the contract, Chinwo claims the relationship became toxic, and she was subjected to verbal and emotional abuse.

Chinwo alleged that Eezee Concept would use statements such as “I will deal with you, I will mess you up, I made you who you are. I can shut you up, and nobody will hear you again, and I will destroy your career.”

Mercy Chinwo also claimed that the label owner deceived those who invited her to events regarding her availability.

She stated that she never filed a case against Eezee Concept to obtain her catalogue, but rather that he expose the first three pages and the execution page of the contract she signed in 2017, which he allegedly amended, to the public.
