Media personality Toke Makinwa has shared her gratitude to God after confirming that she is expecting her first child—just a month after turning 40.
Speaking on her podcast Toke Moments, she revealed that she had prayed to God to become a mother before reaching 40.
Her prayer was answered shortly after her milestone birthday in November 2024, as she conceived in December.

“There is this popular belief that I bash and h@te men. It’s not true. I launched TM Beauty when I was so depressed, but people didn’t know. I prayed to God that I wanted to turn 40 being a mum. I clocked 40 in November, and God did the pregnancy in December. God didn’t fail me. He is never late,” she said.
In a heartfelt Instagram video posted on August 13, 2025, Toke unveiled her pregnancy with a breathtaking maternity shoot set in a lush garden. She appeared in a flowing gown featuring a sheer, floral-embellished bodice and a vibrant yellow skirt.
Reflecting on her journey, she described motherhood as “the biggest project of my life” and “the highest calling ever,” adding, “Dear God, You did this one… You truly are the God of time and chance. My season is here.”
The news drew thousands of congratulatory messages from fans and celebrities alike, including Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham, with her post amassing more than 60,000 comments within five hours.
Toke has often spoken openly about her personal life, relationships, and views on marriage.
In previous episodes of her podcast, she has humorously said she would consider being a second, third, or fourth wife, and she has shared insights from her past marriage to fitness coach Maje Ayinde, which ended in divorce in 2016.
