Mobimpe Adedimeji breaks silence after tearful video sparks online concern

Date:

Popular Nollywood actress Mobimpe Adedimeji has addressed public concern after a video showing her in tears circulated widely on social media platforms.

The actress took to social media to clarify that the emotional footage was merely part of her professional work, not a glimpse into personal distress as many fans had speculated.

“I don’t know what y’all are thinking but I am very fine! I will not have any reason to cry or bring my private matters to social media!” Adedimeji stated emphatically in her response to the growing rumors.

The 28-year-old actress expressed frustration with how quickly fans and followers jumped to conclusions, reminding them of her profession.

“If you see any video of me crying then it’s obviously work! Location pictures! Set videos!” she explained, highlighting that emotional scenes are a regular part of her job as an actress.

Adedimeji further called out entertainment blogs for spreading misinformation and urged her followers to be more discerning.

“At least y’all know I’m an Actress! How then do you believe every fake news these foolish blogs feed you?!” she questioned.

The star concluded her message by requesting fans stop flooding her direct messages with concerns about her wellbeing based on the misleading footage. “Please stop coming to my DM with stuffs like this biko! Love y’all,” she wrote.

This incident underscores the challenges celebrities face in the digital age, where behind-the-scenes content can easily be taken out of context, potentially sparking unnecessary public concern.

It would be recalled that following the video incident, some social media users have gone to the extent of questioning why she hasn’t had a child yet, with a few insinuating that there might be underlying issues. Others, in a particularly insensitive manner, have accused the actress of “delaying unnecessarily.”

A particular social media user even made a disturbing claim, alleging that the actress may have sacrificed her womb for financial gain, which they blamed for her not having children for her husband, Abdullateef who is also a Nollywood actor.
